William Easterly, professor of economics at New York University, and Co-Director of NYU’s Development Research Institute is a visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution and a non-resident Fellow of the Center for Global Development in Washington DC. He will be the Dvelo Speaker at Wake Forest University on February 28th.
Easterly is the best-selling author of The Elusive Quest for Growth and The White Man's Burden.
He is a professor of economics at New York University and the Co-Director of NYU’s Development Research Institute (he is also a visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution and a non-resident Fellow of the Center for Global Development in Washington DC).

New program will send Wake students to Africa and beyond
James Beshara, a senior economics major at Wake Forest University, with the help of Sylvain Boko, Zachary T. Smith Associate Professor of Economics at Wake Forest, has launched the Dvelo Fund, a fellowship program designed to give students an opportunity to study development issues in the underdeveloped world.
